Pastor

William Thomas DeArmond Jr. hails from a small suburban neighborhood in Sacramento, California, where he grew up as one of eight siblings. Embracing his faith early on, he committed to Christ during his formative years and felt a profound calling to ministry at the age of thirteen. His journey into religious leadership commenced in May of 2010 with his trial sermon.

Educationally, William pursued a Bachelor's in Liberal Arts with a dual focus on Psychology and Religious Studies at Livingstone College in Salisbury, NC. He has also obtained a Master of Divinity degree with a specialization in Chaplaincy at Regent University, while completing the Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) Program at Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno, CA. William is currently pursuing his Doctoral Degree in Strategic Leadership at Regent University. 

William now serves as the innovative Pastor of Hilliard Church in Stockton, California, while holding the positions of Chief of Protocol for the Western Episcopal District and Central Valley District of the California Conference. He is also the Communications Director and Christian Education Director of Adults for the Central Valley District of the California Conference. William also serves as the Chair of the Young Adults in Ministry (YACM) Steering Committee for the Western Region of the AME Zion Church. Married to Mary Tisdale DeArmond, he is a devoted father to two young men, Daeyon and Avery.

His guiding principle, "Do the Work and Watch God," as inspired by I Corinthians 9:25-27, underscores his steadfast dedication to his calling and ensures that every endeavor he pursues glorifies God.
